The Big Island has a way of calling. If you’ve never been, it calls by proxy. Friends tell of their glorious struggle to make it to the finish on Alii Drive. Videos recap the history.
As part of our run up to the Hawaii Ironman World Championships, we spent some time with Coeur Pro and one of 35 women to qualify for Kona, Beth Shutt.
Let’s take a few minutes and talk about bodies. There are few relationships as complex as the ones we have with the collection of tendons, muscles and organs we call our body.
Well folks, its time to put a bow on the weekend. The racing and training is done and we are so proud that our Coeur girls again delivered the goods. Our weekend started with Ironman 70.3 Muncie on Saturday. The race is well positioned for people doing Ironman Louisville and consequently, it is a very well attended affair.
Ahh…Indiana. The Hoosier state. It was also, the home of James Dean, a man that they said must have been too good looking to be allowed to live. So, sad. The good (looking) ones go so young. It’s also (we believe) the home state to John Cougar. Who, IS still alive, by the way. But we digress.
Coeur is thrilled to reveal our first professional in our announcement series: Beth Shutt!
Beth hails from the chilly climes of Pittsburgh and will be competing in her third year as a pro triathlete. Coming off a recent 2nd place finish at Ironman Wisconsin and a SMOKING fast 3:06 marathon at Ironman Arizona, we are so excited to watch Beth come into her own in 2014!
