So I recently discovered that I enjoy cycling outdoors and not on my trainer in the winter. Unlike Coeur's "winter" gear that usually clothes lucky Californians who have to brave 60 degree weather, I am on my bike in the winter in Kansas, and I need protection for rides ranging from 25-55 degrees. I purchased these fleece lined cycling tights and I am in HEAVEN.
My previous attempts at staying warm and comfy on winter rides have been a pair of fleece-lined bibs from some company in China, and some fleece-lined leggings from a reputable cycling company. However, neither have fit comfortably. I feel constricted and, honestly, slower. I was hesitant to try yet another cycling tight that would let me down, but instead, I am in love with Coeur's thermal cycling tights. First of all, they ACTUALLY feel comfortable when I ride. To the point that I don't realize I'm in a full tight. The stretch is amazing. The fabric is soft and forgiving, it follows my motion and holds in place. Second, the tights are warm without being bulky. Even though they're warm, they aren't bulky. I hammered out a 15 mile ride in 25 degrees and everything waist down was warm and cozy (well, with my neoprene booties).
I'm sorry I've overshared and I'm long winded, but I just had to rave about this purchase. I would highly recommend this tight for anyone who actually has to deal with cold weather. Totally worth the price. Order your normal size and go out and enjoy winter cycling!
